Fixture pile-up not a concern for Saints

Forwards coach Dorian West says the fixture pile-up of going for an unprecedented treble doesn't worry Saints.

Saints go to Harlequins on Saturday sitting third in the Guinness Premiership table and in with a great chance of making the play-offs for the first time in six years.

But unlike their rivals for the Premiership title Saints are in the quarter-finals of the Heineken Cup and the semi-finals of the LV= Cup.

Leicester, Saracens and London Irish will have precious weekends to rest their players whereas Saints won't and they still have a postponed Premiership clash with Bath to fit in.

But West said: "We are not worrying, we are happy to be in these competitions rather than out of them.

"I am sure if you asked the other coaches, deep down they have got a little thought in the back of their minds that they would like to be appearing in finals and semi-finals.

"We are in the quarter-final of the Heineken Cup, which is a big achievement for us already, but the league is our bread and butter and we want to do well in that."
