FA Cup giantkillers Kettering set up Notts County clash

Kettering Town grabbed a stunning injury-time winner to send Lincoln City crashing out of the FA Cup.

Substitute Iyseden Christie scored one minute into time added on in their first-round replay to knock out the Coca-Cola League Two side 2-1 at Sincil Bank.

Craig Westcarr had cancelled out John-Lewis' opener for the Imps before Christie hit the headlines to send Poppies supporters wild.

The hosts had dominated the early stages as Stefan Oakes' cross-cum-shot landed on the crossbar before Chris Beardsley headed wide at the other end.

However, it was Dany N'Guessan – the Imps' scorer at the A-Line Arena – who came the closest to breaking the deadlock.

He was denied by a great save from Lee Harper and just a minute later a last-ditch block from Guy Branston prevented another shot for the goalkeeper to deal with.

The Poppies were desperately unlucky not to take the lead nine minutes before the break. Andre Boucaud released Jean-Paul Marna and he turned inside Janos Kovacs before cracking a shot off the outside of the post.

But Kettering were not to be denied and earned the win that sends them to Notts County in the second round.
