Dunion sees positives despite another loss
Rob Dunion was delighted with his side's display despite suffering defeat at Bury Town in this Zamaretto League Division One Midlands clash.
The Bones began a run of four games in eight days on a losing note.
But Dunion was full of praise for his side after they had their
preparations hit by a virus which ruled two players out and left Adam Sturgess to battle through sickness.
And the showing has left Dunion with plenty to be positive about ahead of his team's trip to Arlesey tomorrow.
"It was an excellent performance," said the Town boss.
"We had as much opportunity to equalise as they did before they finally got the third goal and I am more than happy with the performance, forget the result.
"The big issue was the very sick players.
"We left two of them on the bus and Adam Sturgess really shouldn't have played.
"We brought in two young lads and they did very well.
"But I was very happy with the performance."
Dunion is praying he can take a fully-fit squad to Arlesey for a game that he says his men are more than capable of winning.
"The games are coming thick and fast for us now and it is just a case of getting them all fit," he added.
"We still want to get to 40 points to avoid getting sucked in to a
relegation battle and the quicker the games come, the quicker we can get the points.
"There will be no complaints from us about the games.
"It is much better than training at this time of year and we are happy to be playing.
"Teams like Bury are better than us, they have a better set-up, more money and that is why they are up there.
"But teams like Arlesey are one of the 60-70 per cent of teams like us who are very similar and it is a case of who plays better on the night.
"Hopefully everyone will be fit and we can take a whole squad there and we will be full of confidence."
