Peters pleased with hosts’ position
At the close, the hosts were 191-7 in reply to the visitors’ 136 and that puts them in front going into the remainder of the contest.
Peters said: “I think you’ve got to be happy with that day.
“With the weather we’ve had over the past week we thought there would be something in the wicket and there was a little bit there and the guys bowled really well.

The task now will be to eke out as many as possible tomorrow morning on a surface that is unlikely to get any better, a fact that Peters acknowledged.
He continued: We’d have liked to have a couple more wickets in the shed but I think it’s that kind of pitch, there’s a ball with your name on it if it’s in the right area so overall I’m pleased with where we are.
“It was a good toss to win.
“You can’t expect a really flat, dry pitch after the rain we’ve had and I’ve got a feeling that it’s going to do something all game so that’s why any kind of lead is crucial.”
