James Middlebrook will be part of the MCC team to face Warwickshire

Northants’ James Middlebrook’s preparations for the 2013 season will include a trip to Dubai to play in the traditional curtain-raiser.

The County off-spinning all-rounder will be part of the MCC side who face the champions county, Warwickshire, in a four-day fixture from March 25-28 which will be partly played under floodlights with a pink ball.

Durham’s Dale Benkenstein will captain the MCC side who will be joined by India’s Rahul Dravid and Australian Shaun Tait for the Emirates Airline t20 leg of the tour.

MCC squad: Dale Benkenstein (Durham, captain), Jimmy Adams (Hampshire), Joe Denly (Midlesex), Rahul Dravid (Rajasthan Royals, t20 only), Simon Kerrigan (Lancashire), Sam Northeast (Kent), Steve Kirby (Somerset), Alan Richardson (Worcestershire), Shaun Tait (Rajasthan Royals, t20 only), Peter Trego (Somerset), James Middlebrook (Northamptonshire).
