Northants will start their 2013 County Championship season with a trip to Cardiff to face Glamorgan.

Stephen Peters’ side travel to the Principality for the clash which gets under way on Wednesday, April 10.

They make their home bow a week later when Essex are the visitors to the County Ground.

The season concludes later than usual when the County make the trip Worcestershire in the Championship on Septamber 24.

Nottinghamshire are the visitors on Sunday, May 5 for the opening game in the Clydesdale Bank 40, with four of the six home fixtures in the competition being played under floodlights.

The County start their Friends Life T20 schedule on Friday, June 28, with Gloucestershire the opposition at Wantage Road. Four of the club’s five home ties in the shortest format will be staged under lights.

The CB40 final will be played at Lord’s on September 21 with the T20 finals day set for Edgbaston on Saturday, August 17.
