Boss Dunion has a plan for the leaders
Rothwell Town have undoubtedly drawn the short straw in BGB Southern League Division One Midlands this weekend with a trip to leaders Leamington.
The Bones picked up another important point in midweek with a draw at Stourport Swifts that keeps them six points clear of the bottom two.
However, boss Rob Dunion admits they face a hard day at the office at the New Windmill Ground against a Brakes side that is currently six points clear at the top after winning six of their last seven.
Memories of Leamington's 6-0 win at Cecil Street earlier in the campaign are also still painfully fresh in the mind.
"Their top scorer Mark Bellingham has got more on his own than we've
managed as a team all season," said Dunion.
"Come to think of it, their second-top scorer Luke Corbett has nearly got as many on his own as we have all season too.
"It's going to be very tough, no doubt about that. But we have a game plan and it's important we stick to it.
"We've got to get out there and stop them from playing, so forcing them to change their approach and try something new.
"If we can do that, who knows what might happen?
"It helps that I've got a lot of my experienced players back and available as they will be crucial to us being able to put that gameplan into action.
"The result in midweek was important because it means the sides below us still need three good results to overtake us.
"We're at the business end of the season now where results matter more than performances, although the way we battled against Stourport suggests the lads are now realising the situation we're in and, while they don't relish it, they are up for the fight."
Bobby White, Danny Marlow and Mibeye Medine all return for the Bones but Shaun Goodall (Achilles) is a doubt.
Rothwell from: Malong, Dorrill, Hackett, Flannigan, Maddox, Glass, F Koriya, White, Marlow, Medine, Boyle-Chong, Maude, Goodall, Byrne, McIlwain, Linton.
