Bones need find their ugly side in matches
Rob Dunion called on his Rothwell Town players to learn how to "play ugly", after they proved no match for a powerful Slough side who won 4-1 in the Zamaretto League Division One Midlands.
Bones manager Dunion said of the defeat: "We need to learn how to play ugly and be aggressive when we need to be aggressive.
"We were too nice and they bullied us out of the game and we just couldn't deal with it.
"They're physically a very big side and they got us time after time with set pieces.
"We can't be too disappointed because we're still second in the league but we need to get back to winning ways quickly."
Rothwell made the perfect start to the game when Kevin Byrne netted a defence-splitting pass from Jon Stevenson, firing the visitors into the lead.
However, their early dominance was soon halted when Thomas Hayes tapped home from three yards, following a free-kick on the right.
And Corby Town loanee Leon Hibbert put the hosts further ahead five minutes before the break when he headed home a corner.
Rothwell tried to battle in the second half but a two-minute spell put paid to their hopes of a comeback.
Goals from Rob Keane and Dean Harper on 67 and 69 minutes respectively sealed the win for the hosts and sent Rothwell back home empy-handed.
