Fishing the 180 peg prestige match on a ‘big’ canal in Hungary, he won his section on day-one and made second-in-section on day two.

That gave him three points – a score shared with four others...and he finished up fourth overall on weight, with his Diawa team fifth from 36.

There were some big fish about, too. The day-two winner included a 38lb carp in 
his catch, caught on the pole fishing to full international rules!

STANWICK top rod this week was Don McKinness with a 37-12 from Elsons. Alex Grice had three to 26lb and Nathan Tabor a 22 and two 25s. Dan Wright netted a 21-10 from Mallard.
