Cornish All Blacks winger Matt Jess says he is in talks over a possible move to Northampton Saints.
Jess, who scored 17 league tries in a struggling side that was relegated out of National League One, claims he has held talks with Leeds Carnegie and Exeter Chiefs, but Saints are his favoured option.

Saints are rebuilding for their Guinness Premiership return and Jess said: "I have held talks with several clubs and I can now narrow it down to Northampton, Leeds and Exeter.

"But at the moment I am trying to sort out a deal with Northampton.

"I am hoping that will come off and, while it is exciting, it is still a bit frustrating because I am still waiting for it to be resolved."

Jess played in the Celtic League with Newport-Gwent Dragons after he impressed for former club Cornish Pirates, but his time in Wales was marred by a broken leg.

"I think moving up to the Premiership would be a good step for me," said Jess.
