Andy Holt has signed a new two-year contract with Northampton Town.
The left-sided 30-year-old, who can play in defence and midfield, has accepted the new contract offered by Cobblers boss Stuart Gray.

Holt has made 81 appearances for Town since joining from Wrexham in June 2006, scoring four goals.

Gray said: "Andy is an excellent professional. He is versatile and has good experience in what is generally a young squad."

"He is also a big influence in the dressing room and is an excellent example for the young players to look up to."

Holt is the second out-of-contract player to sign new terms this month, following on from midfielder Ryan Gilligan.

Holt's decision means that the only out-of-contract player yet to agree terms is Adebayo Akinfenwa. The big striker has been linked with a move to Leyton Orient.
