collingtree Park suffered at Oundle as the home side avenged a disappointing 4½-1½ defeat at Peterborough Milton a week earlier with a win by the same scoreline on their home course in junior league action.
Although Collingtree picked up one and a half points in the opening two games, the lower handicap home players quickly turned the match around as they took the last four points.

in NLCGA Cecil Leitch golf, Kingsthorpe produced a gritty performance away to Northampton as they kept their nerve in the closing stages of the tight matches to clinch a 4-3 victory.

After Kingsthorpe's Gill Hodgson won the opening tie 4&2, the hosts looked on track for victory when Maggie Childs (3&1), Maureen Connor (6&5) and Robert Gee (5&3) secured three relatively easy points for Northampton.

But with the other ties reaching the 18th hole, it was Northampton who prevailed on all three occasions as Carol Collins and Liz Shine won by one hole before Ginny Jolliffe clinched the match with a two-hole win in the final game.

Collingtree Park couldn't compete with Oundle ladies away from their own course as they went down 7-0 to Ann Parkin's side.
