Cold Ashby club captain Graham Bott lifted the club championship trophy for the first time after winning the 36-hole competition by one stroke.
Fresh from his eight-round one-day marathon the previous week, Bott was in exceptional form in windy morning conditions as he fired seven birdies in a four-under-par 66 to sit four clear.

Although the county player found the going more difficult in the afternoon, a two-putt par on the final hole ensured he won with a total of one-over-par.

Paul Askew added a round of level par 70 to his opening 72 to grab the runners-up prize by two from eight-handicapper Paul White, who shot two excellent rounds of 70 and 74.

Unsurprisingly White took the net award by five from junior member Johnny Howarth, with James Whiting (net 137) in third on countback from Gordon Chiverton.
