Dream UEFA Cup draw for Tottenham's Luka Modric

Tottenham star Luka Modric will come up against his former club following the draw for the UEFA Cup group stages.
Spurs, who had avoided many of the big guns in the UEFA Cup group stages after being seeded in Pot One, were drawn against Dinamo Zagreb - the club which sold Modric to Juande Ramos' side for £16.5m.

Tottenham were also handed the challenge of Rus
sian outfit Spartak Moscow, Italian side Udinese and Dutch outfit NEC Nijmegen.

They were placed in Group D and will play each other side once - with two home and two away fixtures.

Portsmouth have been drawn against AC Milan, Heerenveen, Braga and Wolfsburg, while Manchester City have been drawn against Schalke, Paris St Germain, Racing Santander and FC Twente.

The other English side in the draw, Aston Villa, have been drawn against Hamburg, Ajax, Slavia Prague and MSK Zilina.

GROUP B: Benfica, Olympiacos, Galatasaray, Hertha Berlin, Metalist Kharkiv

GROUP D: TOTTENHAM, Spartak Moscow, Udinese, Dinamo Zagreb, NEC Nijmegen

GROUP F: Hamburg, Ajax, Slavia Prague, ASTON VILLA, MSK Zilina
