Northampton Town have been installed as 8/1 joint favourites to win Coca-Cola League Two next season and bounce back at the first attempt following their relegation last month.
The recent signings of experienced striker Steve Guinan and defender Craig Hinton have persuaded bookies Bet365 to boost Town up from third favourites to joint favourites alongside play-off final losers Shrewsbury Town.

Third favourites are now Bradford City (9/1), with Rotherham United (10/1), Chesterfield (11/1), Crewe Alexandra (14/1), Bury (14/1) and Bournemouth the other fancied sides.

Rank outsiders are troubled Accrington Stanley at 150/1 while, strangely, Blue Square Conference champions Burton Albion are 40/1 to win the title, double the odds of Torquay United who had to get up via the play-offs.

You'd be a mug to bet at these odds! Our relegation was fully deserved following a series of poor decisions, and a lot of hard work needs to be achieved at the club before there is any talk about automatic promotion. Steve Riches.
