Nicky Adams scored twice as Leicester City crushed Kettering Town 4-1 at the A-line Arena.
Matty Fryatt opened the scoring after just four minutes when he took advantage of a defensive mix-up and lobbed his header over an advancing Lee Harper.

Nicky Adams doubled the advantage for the Foxes when he converted a left-wing cross from Joe Mattock.

The Poppies were handed a lifeline on 20 minutes when Brett Solkhon headed home David Galbraith's corner.

But the Foxes regained their two-goal advantage when Adams fired home from 20 yards.

New signing Gareth Seddon hit the post for Kettering before half-time but the scoring was completed early in the second half when DJ Campbell lobbed into the far corner.

The result was never in doubt for the Foxes under manager Nigel Pearson who fielded a full-strength team to give them further fitness and practice in front of a crowd of 1,500 fans, mostly from Leicester.
