Saints players miss out on England Sevens selection

Not one Northampton Saints player has been included in the 26-man England Sevens squad announced today by coach Ben Ryan.
The training squad was named as part of the build-up to the Rugby World Cup Sevens 2009 in Dubai next March and meets next week.

The 26 will be looking to prove themselves to gain selection for the 12-man squad to travel to Dubai to take part in t
he Emirates Airline Dubai Sevens on November 28 and 29 - the first leg of the IRB Sevens World Series.

Despite the squad being drawn from 16 different clubs and organisations, there are no players in the squad.

That was because Saints havent released any players to play for the england sevens side!! England wanted to select Brake and Ansbro but were told they were unavailable. Same went for Ashton last year.
