Northampton Saints begin their return to the Guinness Premiership with a home clash against Worcester.
It is a good game to start with on September 6 for Jim Mallinder's newly-promoted side.

That is followed by another clash against another side likely to be in the relegation mix with Newcastle away on September 12/13/14.

The following week Saints take on champions Wasps at Franklin's Gardens with Mark Robinson set for a quick return.

Saints have a Wednesday night trip to Welford Road to take on Leicester Tigers on October 1.

They travel to Bath on December 27 and the New Year clash is Bristol at home.

Mallinder's side finishes the season with a trip to Sale on April 25/26.

"There are no easy games in the Premiership and September will be a massive challenge, especially with three away games," said Mallinder.

The Guinness Premiership Final is confirmed for May 16, 2009. This will avoid any clash with the date of the opening fixture of the British & Irish Lions Tour to South Africa.
