Jim Mallinder paid tribute to Paul Diggin after his man-of-the-match performance in Northampton Saints' EDF Energy Cup win over Bristol.
The Northampton born-and-bred back was outstanding in his first start of the season, and Mallinder was full of praise for his performance from full-back.

"I think Paul played really well," said Mallinder.

"He has been a bit frustrated on the sidelines this season.

"He has been fit, but he has been playing well in the Wanderers and I think he really took his opportunity well."
