Worcester Warrior full-back Chris Latham says he is winning his fight against injury and should be fit to take on Northampton Saints in the opening game of the Guinness Premiership season.
The Australian has put himself in contention for the league opener in early September because his recovery from a torn pectoral muscle is proceeding ahead of schedule.

He is optimistic of being fit for the trip to Franklin's Gardens and starting his Warriors career from day one of the season.

The 32-year-old said: "Everything is moving along very nicely.

"I am now looking to start against Northampton, but I won't know for certain until the end of the month.

"My rehab is going really well."
