As well as winning the club competition the youngsters won numerous medals in the top girl and top boy competition.

The staff at the meet - Andy Sharp, Sarah Greasley and Belinda Smith, who is also head coach at Daventry – were delighted with the performance.

"The weekend involved some of the families camping and was a fantastic event for team building," said head coach Jacquie Marshall.

"During the session breaks the team played rounders and each session had a theme where the team had to do something such as crazy hair, face painting and fancy dress."
