Northampton boxers claimed four Junior ABA Midlands titles at the Triumph Club in Coventry.
Kings Heath ABC trio Jimmy Singh and the Joyce brothers Brendan and Michael stormed to class titles, with Wootton's Ryan Moran also claiming a title.

But Far Cotton ABC's Ashley Knowles failed to pick up a Midlands vest.
Brendan Joyce, ranked num
ber two junior in England, beat Terry Jones of Shrewsbury ABC, 9-5 to win the class five 46-48kg title despite being 4-3 down going into the last round.

But Joyce's power and desire to win was too much for Jones as he claimed his sixth Midlands vest.

In the 52-54kg class five final Singh beat another Shrewsbury ABC boxer, Chris Green. The Kings Heath Golden Belt champion Singh claimed his first Junior ABA Midlands title comfortably
.
Kings Heath ABC coach Arthur Daly said: "It was a very pleasing performance, and as long as he tightens things up a bit, which will come with experience, then there is no reason why he cannot progress to the later stages."

Junior ABA champion Michael Joyce beat Ricky O'Rourke, of Wodenesborough ABC 7-1 in the 52-54kg class six final.

Boxing for the first time in more than 12 months and in his first ever four-rounder Joyce showed too much class and substance for the game O'Rourke,

Daly said: "Michael is adjusting to stepping up to a new weight division. Michael has been boxing for eight years and has won a title of some description every season. This was his eighth Midlands title."

Moran, of Kettering School of Boxing, easily beat Elliott Geddes, of Kettering ABC, 7-0 to win the 50-53kg class five Midlands title. In fact Moran had won his second title on the scales as Geddes weighed in 0.85kg over the limit
.
But Moran and Geddes fought anyway with Kettering School of Boxing coach Clive Hogben saying: "He won well, but it was a bit of an anti-climax."

Far Cotton ABC's Knowles lost 20-3 to Josh McLaren, of Queensberry ABC, in the 55-57kg class six final and coach John Daly said he will be getting Knowles back down to 54kg after this defeat

Daly said: "These fellas are weighing at 57kg and Ashley is only just over 55kg. He boxed like it was his second amateur fight, he didn't listen to instructions and he had two standing counts in third round. He looked tired and dazed, maybe we over-trained."
