Barr and Pickering in GB team for European Cup

Rugby & Northampton Athletics Club runner Vicky Barr has been named in the Great Britain team for the Spar European Cup this month.
Barr will compete as part of the women's 400m relay team at the meeting in Annecy, France, on June 21-22.

Milton Keynes AC sprinter Craig Pickering has been named in the men's 100m relay team.

Dave Collins, UK Athletics performance director, sa
id: "In an Olympic year, the European Cup is obviously not top of our priority list, but it is still an important competition.

"We have selected the strongest team available to us and I expect many of our athletes to use this opportunity as part of their build-up towards Beijing."
