Two roads were reopened this morning after two major collisions to the south of Northampton.
The first, more serious incident, happened on the Swan Valley Way that goes between the A43 roundabout and leads to junction 15a of the M1.

This incident happened at about 8.25am today and involved two vehicles. One person was trapped and had to be freed from the vehicle by emergency services.

The second incident happened between Towcester and Silverstone on the westbound A43 shortly after 9am and involved a lorry that had overturned. The road was completely closed westbound from the roundabout junction with the A5 at Towcester while the lorry was recovered and reopened by 11am.
