EDDIE JORDAN'S band will be taking to the stage at the culmination of the British Grand Prix, with traffic managers hoping he will help smooth the traffic flow away from the Silverstonet on Sunday.
The forme motor-racing boss and his band will be joined by tribute group Killer Queen and assorted guests at the post-race party.

The musicians will be playing at a specially-built arena close to Beckett's corner and are sure to attract a large au
dience looking to wind down after an afternoon of Formula 1 racing.

The concert forms part of Silverstone's raceday entertainment package and will only be open to those already in the circuit – public access into Silverstone for the concert will not be available after the racing has finished.

Ian Ledingham, the police traffic manager for the British Grand Prix, said: "Silverstone have now been putting on bands after the Grand Prix for several years and the concerts have helped keep a lot of racegoers at the circuit into Sunday evening.

"This has had a beneficial effect on traffic movements out of Silverstone, as now not everyone is looking to leave straight after the end of the Grand Prix.

"However motorists do need to be realistic. As at any large event or gathering, when a large volume of traffic looks to use a limited amount of road space, delays are inevitable."
