Yobs trashed a Thrapston medical centre and drew swastikas on its walls at the weekend.

The Meadows in Meadow Lane was targeted by youths who smashed glass bottles in the car park, destroyed drainpipes and coated walls with the emblem commonly associated with the Nazi party.

Assistant practice manager Michelle Bell said: “There’s a lot of vandalism and youths sitting round the back smoking and drinking.

“We came in this morning and they’ve smashed glass in the car park and drainpipes and even put swastikas on the walls.

“The surgery is here to treat people in the vicinity and the community.

“It’s more than likely that this damage was caused by people who have been treated here or who have family who have been treated here.

“In a time of financial pressures this only makes everything worse.”

The surgery was targeted a year ago with lights and CCTV cameras smashed.

The vandals were made to pay £600 and write letters of apology.

But Mrs Bell says there is still vandalism taking place.

She added: “It’s an ongoing thing, the police have come out a few times.

“It’s going to cost quite a bit to clear all of this up.”

The incident took place at some point over the weekend of July 30/31.
