A woman was forcibly kissed by a 70-year-old man in Kingsthorpe Cemetery, Northampton.
The incident happened at the rear of Kingsthorpe Cemetery, at about 11.20am yesterday (Wednesday) when the woman was sat on a bench, having visited a relative’s grave
The man sat down beside the victim and appeared to try and console her. He first touched her hands and then her thighs. He then grabbed her face and tried to forcibly kiss her.
The victim pushed him away and walked through the graveyard.
The offender is described as white, aged 70, with wrinkly olive skin. He spoke with an Italian accent, was about 5ft 4ins tall, of slim build and slightly hunched.
He had grey and black thinning hair and stubble on his face. He was wearing a black/grey trilby hat, a dark wax style coat and black trousers and shoes. He was carrying a square khaki bag.
After the incident the offender walked off towards Holly Lodge Drive.
