Woman charged with affray after House of Fraser incident

A 36-year-old woman has been charged with affray and possession of an offensive weapon after an incident that led to the evacuation of the House of Fraser department store in Northampton.

Police were called to the shop in the Grosvenor Centre shortly after midday on Sunday after reports that a woman was allegedly threatening security staff with a knife.

The woman is due to appear at Northampton Magistrates Court on Monday afternoon.
