Police are asking for anybody who saw a car speed through Corby and Wellingborough at up to 130mph to come forward.

The male driver of a Black Honda Civic, accompanied by a female passenger, was travelling from Corby to Luton on Thursday, July 21 between 5pm and 7pm.

The man and woman, both described as white, stopped at a service station during their route, believed to have included the A45 and M1.

They are said to have argued, before the man allegedly drove off at speed, swerving in and out of traffic.

The car was stopped at a roundabout in Wellingborough and the woman attempted to get out, but was allegedly assaulted. The car was again driven off with the door open.

A 36-year-old man has been charged with dangerous driving, but officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen the alleged incident or have a recording of it on a dash cam.

Anyone with information can contact Northamptonshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
