Six Northamptonshire primary schools performed in Abington Street yesterday morning.

A few hundred Year Six pupils sang their leavers songs in Northampton town centre in front of crowds of pupils at around 11am.

Jill Ramshaw, the Headteacher of Weston Favell CE Primary School, said: “All schools that had performed today are members of the Northampton Primary Academy Trust.

“We thought this would be a nice way of getting all this year’s leavers together for the last time and raise profile.”

The show started off with the ‘cup song’ presented by all gathered students, followed by Abington Vale Primary School with We Will Remember Them song.

Ecton Brook Primary School was up next with Let It Go, the famous song from Disney’s Frozen production.

Third up were the children of Headlands Primary with The Beatles With a Little Help From My Friend.

Next we heard Evolution performed by Lings Primary, followed by Simon De Senlis Primary School which presented the school anthem, as well as some One Direction tunes.

Last but not least the audience saw the pupils of Weston Favell CE Primary School, singing their own interpretation of Do You Want To Build A Snowman’, again from the animated film Frozen.
