United are a steal at 2/1
MANCHESTER United might not be at their best but they look amazing value at 2/1 with Semilong Racing to beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.
Both teams have admittedly been inconsistent of late but in the Premier League United have been a level above Chelsea.
Sir Alex Ferguson’s side are 12 points ahead of them, holding a far superior goal difference (+35 to Chelsea’s +20).
Add to that the fact United have won the last four head-to-head and the 2/1 looks an absolute steal.
If you’re still not convinced, Paddy Power go 11/10 on United in the draw-no-bet market.
Chelsea are a best-price of 13/8 with Ladbrokes to take the three points.
Lee Clark is the latest man to be backed in the next Leeds United manager market with favourite Neil Warnock “drifting like a barge.”
Huddersfield boss Clark was slashed by several firms yesterday morning. Coral are currently offering a best of 6/1 (in from 16/1).
Sky Bet now have Clark as their favourite at 11/4, ahead of 3/1 shot Warnock. Bodog’s Nick Gray, whose firm offer 4/1 about Clark, said: “It wouldn’t be a surprise to see a new favourite again, with Lee Clark and possibly even Gordon Strachan up there, if yesterday’s bets are anything to go by.
“Warnock is drifting like a barge.”
Strachan is 14/1 with Sky Bet.
If you will be having an outright bet on he Six Nations Championship, you will want to take note of Ladbrokes’ offer to refund losing outright bets of up to £100 if England win the title.
They are currently 4/1 with the firm and can be backed at 9/2 elsewhere.
Ladbrokes say it will cost them £100,000 if England win the tournament.
France are clear favourites at a best of 13/8 with Coral ahead of Wales at 3/1 (general).
The Welsh have proved popular since their run to the World Cup semi-finals and Ladbrokes say a triumph for Warren Gatland’s men will also cost them a six-figure sum.
Defending champions England have named an inexperienced line-up for this weekend’s clash with Scotland and that’s since seen them lengthened.
Three players will make their debut in the match and Ladbrokes offer even money that one the trio – Saints’ own Phil Dowson, Brad Barritt and Owen Farrell – scores a try.
AFTER the excitement of transfer deadline day, many Cobblers fans go to Sixfields tomorrow with renewed optimism.
And I reckon there will be plenty of takers for the 5/4 on offer for the Cobblers to end their rotten run against Macclesfield.
The signing of Clarke Carlisle has boosted spirits among the Town faithful, but it must not be forgotten he’s joining a team with just one win in their last 19 games. And with that in mind I’m steering clear of this one. Macc are on a bad run themselves and I’m expecting this one to end in a draw (13/5).
