A taxi driver was robbed after taking two men to a car park in Northampton.

The incident happened on Saturday at about 9.50pm after the driver had pulled into the car park having picked the two men up in Dallington, Northampton.

One of the men got out of the car before returning and putting the driver in a headlock. Both men then threatened the driver and demanded cash.

The 40-year-old driver handed over all of his money and the men left the car and ran towards the wooded area at the back of Tree Tops off Golding Road.

Both offenders were black men, aged about 18 or 19. One was of large build with short hair and possibly a short beard. He was wearing a white tee-shirt with a design on the front and trousers.

The second offender was slim, with should length black, curly hair and was wearing a light coloured tee-shirt and trousers.
