Two men attempt to steal motocross bike after ‘becoming aggressive’

Two men attempted to steal tools and a motocross bike during an attempted robbery in Northampton.

The incident happened near St James Mill Road East, Northampton, on Friday evening sometime between 5pm and 6.30pm on a wooded track by the canal, near St James Mill Road East.

Two men approached three men who were working on their motocross bike.

The two men began to make friendly conversation and then became aggressive, picking up the victims’ bike tools and threatening them.

One of the men also got on the bike and tried to start it. Both men then made off on foot towards Briar Hill.

The man who tried to start the bike is described as white, with a skinny build, 6ft and about 20-years-old. He had short blonde hair and was wearing a grey tracksuit and black Nike Airmax trainers.

The second man was also white, with a skinny build, about 5ft 6in and in his late teens. He had short black hair and was wearing grey tracksuit bottoms and a darker grey tracksuit-style jumper. Both men had local accents.

Witnesses, or anyone with information, are asked to call Northamptonshire Police on 101.
