Two men appear in court after handbag thefts in Northamptonshire town

Two men have appeared in court following two incidents last week in Brackley where handbags were stolen.

The thefts happened on Thursday March 24 in Halse Road and Friday March 25 in Pebble Lane.

Northamptonshire Police say Adrian Turba, aged 19, of no fixed address, was charged with two counts of theft from the person. He was also charged with one count of theft from a motor vehicle.

The police also said Krisztofer Schvarczkopf, aged 20, also of no fixed address, was charge with two counts of theft from the person, one count of theft from a motor vehicle and driving offences.

They appeared at Northampton Magistrates’ Court on Monday, March 28.

Turba pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 24 weeks in prison.

Schvarczkopf pleaded not guilty and was remanded in custody to appear at court again on April 4.
