TRAFFIC NEWS: Lanes closed on M1 northbound in Northamptonshire following multi-vehicle crash

Highways East Midlands is warning motorists to drive carefully on the M1 northbound following a crash.

The M1 northbound between junction 15A and junction 16A near Northampton is at a standstill due to a multi-vehicle collision, Highways England reports.

Two lanes have been closed while Northamptonshire Police and Northamptonshire Fire and Rescue make their way to the scene.

Motorists are being warned to drive with care.
