Two ferrets were stolen from a garden in Northampton.

A spokesman for Northamptonshire Police said today that the animals were taken from Melbury Lane in Blackthorn sometime between 11.30am and 5.30pm on Sunday, December 20.

“One of the ferrets was male, two-and-a-half years old, black and white and large. The second was female, black and white and tiny. When it was taken, this ferret had a cough and needed medication.

“Both of the animals are described as tame,” he added.
