Police are appealing for witnesses after a hit and run incident in Rushden which left a teenage boy requiring hospital treatment.

The incident took place at about 6.45am on Wednesday, December 9, close to the shops on Purvis Road.

A 17-year-old boy was hit by a car, which may have been a Ford Mondeo, which then failed to stop and drove off.

The victim was then taken to Kettering General Hospital, where he required treatment on his foot.

Police would like to speak to anybody who may have witnessed the incident or has any more information about it.
