Talks on the future of Northampton Town are continuing today as more details have emerged over possible interested parties.
Yesterday, it was revealed that chairman David Cardoza was in talks with other parties after ex-chairman of Oxford United Kelvin Thomas stated that his consortium’s negotiations were hanging by a thread. It was previously thought that Mr Thomas’s offer was the only deal on the table.
Talking to the Chron yesterday, Mr Cardoza said: “There have been a number of other groups, but there are two main ones. There is one group that I have known for a long, long time and will be known to a lot of the fans. There is another group that has been working very, very hard to get a conclusion.”
Since then, no confirmation has been given as to the identity of those involved in the talks but the Chron understands that former Swindon Town chairman Jed McCrory is thought to be one of the parties involved.
