Staff at a takeaway shop in Northampton were left shocked after a car smashed into the front window on Tuesday night.

The car crashed into Freddy’s Chicken and Pizza takeaway at about 7pm.

A spokesman for Freddy’s told the Chron that members of staff were in the takeaway when the incident happened. No-one was injured.

“There was a lot of damage to the front window and all the menu boards were damaged.

“The staff were very shocked, which is normal behaviour when something like this happens. It is like something out of the movies,” he added.

Emergency services were at the scene but no details are known about the cause of the accident.
