A suspected murderer who is being hunted by police after a woman was shot in the head has links to Northamptonshire, it has been revealed today.

An image has been released by Thames Valley Police of Billy Johnson, aged 20, who is wanted in connection with the murder of 26-year-old Kerry Reeves who was shot in the head at close range.

Ms Reeves died in John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford yesterday after she was shot at an address in Abingdon at 8.20pm on Tuesday.

Officers have not yet recovered the murder weapon.

Billy Johnson is white, 5ft 8ins, with very short brown hair and blue eyes. He has tattoos on his right arm of the words ‘Mum’ and clouds and a tattoo on his right hand with the words ‘Life is precious’.

He is believed to have links to London, Corby in Northamptonshire and Oxfordshire.

Investigating officer, Det Supt Chris Ward, head of the Thames Valley Police Major Crime Unit, said: “Thames Valley Police is releasing an image of Billy Johnson, a man wanted in connection with Kerry Reeves’ murder in Abingdon.

“Kerry was brutally shot at close range and her family is understandably devastated by her untimely death.

“If you see Billy please do not approach him, instead call 999 immediately.

“If you know where Billy is, or know people who are in contact with him we would urge you to contact us via 101 quoting reference number URN 288 of today (06/11/15). We want to hear from you.

A 20-year-old man from Ealing who was arrested on suspicion of murder has been released on bail until December 5.
