Sixteen-year-old boy appears in court charged with murder of Northampton teen Liam Hunt

A seventh person has now been charged as part of the Liam Hunt murder investigation.

A 16-year-old boy appeared in Northampton Magistrate's Court today charged with murder.

He was remanded in custody and will appear at Northampton Crown Court on March 1.

Liam Hunt suffered fatal injuries during an assault at about 5pm on Tuesday, February 14.

Four boys, who cannot be named for legal reasons, and 18-year-old James Dodd, of Sentinel Road, Northampton, appeared before Birmingham Crown Court on February 21 charged with his murder and were remanded in custody.

Aaron Joseph, 20, of Hylands Road, Walthamstow, London, appeared before Northampton Magistrates’ Court on February 23, also charged with murder and was remanded into custody.

The 16-year-old will join the other six defendants in the case at a plea hearing in May.
