An authorand an illustrator from Rushden have collaborated on a new book, three years after the publication of their first novel.

Writer Roger Cooke and artist Colin Gould’s book Knights of the Red Dragon, is primarily aimed at the young adult market.

A departure from his first novel Dukes and Lilywhites - a book about the fictional village of Risedene based on local village life and cricket- the latest adventure story uses well-known characters from the court of King Arthur.

The novel is set in the 6th century in a Camelot Castle cut-off by a severe snowstorm and recounts the stories told by the people trapped in the castle, to amuse themselves and their fellow guests.

Roger’s 83-page novel sees a mercurial group of raconteurs relate fourteen mystic tales, all featuring the artwork created for the book by Colin .

Knights of the Red Dragon is available on Amazon as an E book or download to a computer or ipad.
