Residents of a Northamptonshire village have been left mystified by the appearance of a group of gnomes that are being moved to different locations every night.

Seven gnomes of different shapes and sizes have been spotted in various locations in Leys Road in Pattishall for the past two weeks.

Posting on a Pattishall Facebook group Vicki O’Dell said: “They’ve been there a couple of weeks and have been moved every night.

“They’re starting to freak me out a little bit. My house backs on to that road and every time I look out, they’ve moved! The big gnome was under the Leys Road sign yesterday, staring up at me.”

However, other residents have welcomed the appearance of the gnomes.

Pattishall resident Barbara Reeve said: “I think its quite a nice addition to our village.”

Paul Howard said: “I hope that they don’t get pinched and maybe some more friends might join them.”
