The disruption will affect the southern section of the Northampton and Lamport Railway this weekend after vandals pushed over a wire fence, a gate and a gatepost at the Pitsford Sidings.
A spokesman for the railway said that, although the objects can be removed, the line has to be closed for repairs.

“We apologise for any disappointment and the reduced journey while the repairs take place.”
The railway said only the northern section will be operating on August 13 and 14.
Passenger trains will still operate between Pitsford and Brampton Station and just south of Bridge 14 near Merry Tom Crossing.
