RE teacher from Northamptonshire to appear in court charged with possession of indecent images of children

A religious studies teacher from Northamptonshire has been charged with a string offences related to possessing indecent images of children.

Phillip Allen, 48, is a prominent figure in religious education nationally and has written frequently for the Times Educational Supplement.

He has also been a member of the TES teacher panel and a national TES advisor for key stage 4 religious studies.

He faces three charges of making indecent images of children and is also charged with possession of extreme pornography.

Allen, who was head of religious studies at Shenley Brook End school in Milton Keynes, is due to appear for an initial hearing on Monday at Northampton Magistrates’ Court.
