Duston Parish Council has won the Council of the Year award for its “determination” to deliver improvements for the area.
The award was handed over in front of more than 120 delegates at the Northamptonshire County Association of Local Councils AGM on Saturday.
The council was praised for its leadership and work to deliver “long-term key projects and community services”.
Councillor Alan Earle, chairman of Duston Parish Council, said: “Receiving this award reinforces the council’s vision of making Duston a great place to live, work and play, and the determination and dedication Duston Parish Council has to the community of Duston. All the team of councillors and staff are absolutely delighted in receiving this award.”
