A Northampton man spotted a fly-tipping mess in some bushes while out walking on a footpath under a bridge near the A45 close to the Wickes store in Brackmills.

And another man reported a different fly-tip while out walking on the Upton Valley Way North road, which is just off of a different stretch of the A45 near Dragonfly Meadows and Pineham.

Both men reported the dumped rubbish to Northampton Borough Council officials, who have now passed it onto their environmental services.

A council spokesman said: “We’re grateful to The Chron for making us aware of these issues, it has been reported to our environmental services contractor.

“The best way to highlight any issues with fly-tips, street cleansing issues, missed bin collections and graffiti is to visit our website or use the app.”

The council urged anyone who spots a fly-tip to report it to them on its website or app.
