Images have been released of two men police want to speak to in connection with an armed robbery in Wellingborough.

The incident happened shortly after 8pm yesterday (Wednesday) at the One Stop Shop in Swinburne Road.

A police spokesman said: “Two men who were wearing hoodies with their faces covered entered the store.

“One man, holding a silver claw hammer and a black shopping bag, approached the staff member at the till and demanded she empty the money into the bag.

“The offenders then left the store, running off towards Burns Road.

“Officers are keen to speak with any witnesses, in particular a woman who was walking with a small child and was refused entry to the shop due to the robbery.

“It is likely the two offenders with face coverings will have passed by her as they fled the scene.”

The offenders were all white, between 5ft 10 and 6ft and of slim builds.
