Police are asking for help identifying vandals who are defacing public spaces with a distinctive graffiti logo.

The ‘NUG’ tag has been appearing around Northampton in different forms and the Op Illustration team at Northamptonshire Police are keen to get more information.

A police spokeswoman said: “If you know who is doing these tags please contact Op Illustration on Twitter, telephone us on 101 or fill out an online form.

“We’d like to catch the culprit but reporting it means we can help organise a clean-up.”

The tags have appeared near the A45 near Mereway and even the street sign welcoming people to Hunsbury Meadows.
