Youngsters at Pitsford Junior School hosted a mufti day and a fundraising raffle to raise money for the Guide Dogs for the Blind.

The children, aged between three and eleven years old, managed to raise an amazing £301.43.

A cheque was presented by Pitsford School Hesketh House captain, Molly Jones and vice-captain, William Kimbell to representatives of Kettering Guide Dogs for the Blind at a special assembly on Monday, July 6.

A spokesman for the school said the sum means Pitsford School has now raised enough money to sponsor its own guide dog puppy and the children will choose their own guide dog to sponsor next term.
